Introduced in 2010 and discontinued in 2020, the 116610LV is instantly recognisable by its striking green sunburst dial and matching green Cerachrom ceramic bezel. Unlike its predecessor, the “Kermit”, and the model that subsequently replaced it, the Hulk pairs its green bezel with a green dial — giving this reference a character entirely its own.
Housed within the substantial 40mm Oystersteel case is Rolex’s proven calibre 3135 automatic movement, offering approximately 48 hours of power reserve. The watch features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with Cyclops date magnification, Chromalight luminescent display and a unidirectional 60-minute graduated bezel.
Water resistant to 300 metres, the Submariner’s professional diving credentials are complemented by Rolex’s robust Oyster bracelet, Oysterlock safety clasp and Glidelock extension system, allowing precise adjustment of the bracelet without tools.
This 2018 example represents the later years of the 116610LV’s decade-long production run and combines unmistakable wrist presence with the engineering and functionality for which the Submariner has become renowned.
